Girke Lege, Rumeilan, Syria ــOn Tuesday morning, the the ‘security’ forces of the Democratic Union Party in Syria (PYD), so-called Asayish, reportedly arrested several Kurdish activists in norther Syria, among them were politicians.
In Girke Lege/ Maabadah town, the member of the Kurdish Youth Movement (T.C.K) Jivan Ali was arrested as his house was stormed by the Asayish forces in the town, ARA News ccorrespondent reported.
“As the activist was on his way back from Rumeilan city to Girke Lege, he was cordoned off with three cars that belong to the Asayish in front of Rashdoun Pharmacy near their checkpoint in Girke Lege,” ARA News correspondent said.
Activist Jivan Ali, 29, was born in the village of Kondik Tayyip/Husseiniya in the Alian area, a member in the Monitoring Body in the Kurdish Youth Movement (T.C.K). He has been nominated by the Movement to attend the National Conference of Kurdistan to be held end of this month in the Iraqi Kurdistan.
On the other hand, the Asayish forces arrested on Monday two members of the Kurdish Democratic Party (KDP) in Amuda city, west of Qamishlo/Qamishli. Haj Younis and Ahmed Badini were reportedly detained by the Asayish and no further information is available so far on their destiny.
The detainees’ families remain concerned as the Asayish leadership didn’t issue any statement on the reason of the arrest.
