Daraa, Syria – The regime forces targeted Jasim city in the countryside of Daraa with heavy artillery and rocket launchers on Thursday evening. The regime’s crackdown claimed lives of at least 10 civilians, while several others were reportedly seriously injured.
A media activist based in Daraa city told ARA News that the heavy artillery and rocket launchers which targeted Jasim city were stationed in the headquarters of the regime forces in the Artillery Battalion 285.
“The injured were taken to field hospitals in the city (Daraa). The shelling caused large destruction in the residential buildings in Jasim,” the source said.
Meanwhile, 2 civilians were killed and 6 others were injured as the regime forces targeted several districts in Daraa city with heavy artillery stationed in the Panorama Battalion, while the rebels of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) fired mortar shells on the regime headquarters around Newa city in Daraa suburbs, in response to the regime forces attacks.
