Aleppo, Syria– A Syrian pro-regime helicopter targeted on Monday a bus carrying civilians with an explosive barrel in Sheikh Najar neighbourhood in the countryside of Aleppo. At least 15 civilians were killed and dozens were injured during the attack.

Ismail Aziz, a lawyer based in Aleppo city, told ARA News that the bus was carrying workers who were heading to the industrial area in Shaeikh Najar.

“Bodies of 15 victims were found in the location of the attack, while 20 others were injured and taken to nearby field hospitals,” Aziz said.

Noteworthy, regime forces −positioned around the industrial area in Sheikh Najar neighbourhood− reportedly targeted cars which belonged to civilians with cornet rockets 3 weeks ago, resulting in the death of 25 civilians and the injury of dozens.

In a linked development, 10 regime soldiers were reportedly killed on Monday after clashes erupted between the regime forces and rebels of the Free Syrian Army(FSA) in al-Assiyla district in the old city of Aleppo. The clashes occurred after the regime forces tried to storm into the area. Two FSA fighters were reportedly injured.
