Five school children killed in air force attack near Damascus

Damascus, Syria− Forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad bombed on Tuesday a primary school in the town of Jabideen in Damascus suburb, south of Syria. At least five children died and several others were injured due to the bombings, which caused large damage in the school building and its surroundings.     

Yezen Ibrahim, a human rights activist based in Damascus, told ARA News that some of the victims were hardly found and removed from the bombing location.

“Most of the wounded were transferred to field hospitals in Damascus countryside,” said Ibrahim. 

Meanwhile, pro-Assad forces targeted on Tuesday Sadat street in Kassa’ neighbourhood in Damascus. Mortar shells were used by the regime forces, claiming lives of at least two civilians, while dozens of others were reportedly injured.  

Arbeen town in the eastern suburb of Damascus was also exposed to shelling with heavy artillery by the Syrian  pro-Assad army on Tuesday evening. No confirmation on the number of casualties yet.
