Damascus, Syria – Two civilians were reportedly killed and several others injured in the city of Duma, near Damascus, on Wednesday, after the pro-regime warplanes attacked the city with rockets.

Ahmad Sabbagh, civil rights activist based in the city of Damascus, stated to ARA News that the pro-regime warplanes bombed this morning residential neighbourhoods in the city of Duma.

“For the third day the Syrian air force targets the city,” Sabbagh reported.

Meanwhile, the pro-Assad helicopters targeted with explosive barrels the Palestinian area Khan al-Sheeh in Western Gkouta, in Damascus countryside. At least ten civilians were injured, local sources reported.

Mazen Ibrahim, an activist from Damascus, told ARA News that violent clashes erupted on Wednesday afternoon between the pro-regime forces and fighters of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) in the neighbourhood of al-Tadamon in Damascus.

On the other hand, the regime forces were deployed heavily in the neighbourhood of Rukn ed-Din (where Kurds constitute a majority) in central Damascus, amid reports of arrests among people in the neighbourhood.
