Damascus, Syria – Three Syrian journalists were reported dead in the southern province of Daraa when a missile hit their car.
According to the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), the three journalists were reporters of the opposition-linked Orient TV.
The three journalists were reportedly killed in the town of Sheikh Miskin in Daraa province, northwestern Syria.
Sheikh Miskin has seen continuous battles between pro-Assad forces and factions of the armed opposition for months.
Orient TV reported that its respondents Rami Asmi, Yousef El-Dous and Salem Khalil were targeted by the pro-regime military forces on Monday.
The death toll among journalists and media workers in Syria has risen to 257 since the start of the three-year-and-half war in the country, the Syrian Journalists Association (SJA) reported on Sunday.
