Syrian air force targets rebel-held Idlib, dozens civilians killed

Damascus, Syria – On Saturday, at least 46 civilians were killed, including nine children, in an airstrike by pro-Assad forces in northwestern countryside of Idlib, local activists reported. 

“Dozens others have been injured and transferred to a field hospital in the city of Idlib,” Hazim Serriya, a local civil rights activist, reported. 

The airstrikes targeted residential neighborhoods in the towns of Kafr Awaid and Saraqib northwest of Idlib.

The targeted towns are held by the forces of the armed opposition.
