Damascus, Syria – On Friday, the U.S.-led airstrikes killed at least 30 militants of the Islamic State (IS/ISIL) in the countryside of Aleppo, northern Syria, local sources reported.
“More than 18 IS terrorists were killed during airstrikes on Kwairis air base, and 12 others were reported dead in a similar strike in the town of Tal Mallid in the northern countryside of Aleppo,” Muhammad Biro, a civil rights activist based in Aleppo, told ARA News on the phone.
In the meantime, the Syrian air force launched raids on several rebel-held residential neighborhoods in Aleppo.
Barrel bombs launched by pro-Assad military helicopters hit Bustan al-Qaser and Khan Toman in the suburb of Aleppo, causing dozens of casualties among civilians.
