Urfa, Turkey – Two Turkish police officers were found dead in their home in the town of Ceylanpinar near the Syrian border, officials said on Wednesday.

Izzettin Kucuk, Governor of Sanliurfa province in southern Turkey, said in a statement “it was not immediately clear if the attack against the policemen, who were sharing a house in the border town of Ceylanpinar, was terrorism-linked”.

This comes only two days after a bomb hit the nearby town of Suruc near the Syrian border, causing the death of 32 people and injury of more than 100 others.

Turkish authorities accused militants of the Islamic State (IS/ISIS) of being behind the terrorist attack in Suruc.
