Hasakah, Syria – Militants of the Islamic State (IS/ISIS) destroyed Saturday civilians’ houses in the village of Homr in Hasakah countryside, northeast Syria, local sources reported.
“The radical group bombed several houses with explosives in the (Homr) village on Saturday, after accusing the owners of apostasy,” an eyewitness told ARA News on the condition of anonymity.
The bombed houses belong to displaced families who escaped southern Hasakah subsequent to ISIS’ control.
The extremist group issued a decision to confiscate houses of people “who escaped the caliphate’s rule”, and to destroy the houses of those accused of apostasy or involved in supporting anti-ISIS forces in the region, according to sources in Shaddadi city –main ISIS stronghold in the southern countryside of Hasakah.
